When you make a gift between now and October 31, your contribution will be matched – dollar-for-dollar – by The Wasie Foundation. For the time remaining until the deadline, you can double the impact of your support for grieving children in our community.

The matching gift challenge by The Wasie Foundation comes at a particularly good time. We rely on donations to fund Avow Kids because insurance programs do not pay for our care. The COVID-19 pandemic, however, has challenged our fundraising initiatives at least through the end of the year. The pandemic has also created increasingly urgent needs for Avow Kids services among our community’s children.

They and their families are struggling to cope with fear, isolation, uncertainty, and change. Some parents have lost their jobs; others are trying to juggle working from home with home-schooling responsibilities. The Avow Kids team has responded by growing and broadening their outreach, but there is more work to do.
