Charles Hoffman has worked in the financial industry since 1981. Currently, he is a financial advisor in a local firm. He is a graduate of the State University of New York at Oneonta where he received a degree in business and economics.

Mr. Hoffman served as the Campaign Chair for two successful fundraising campaigns for Avow: the 2009-2012 “Promise Campaign” and the 2014-2017 “Promise 2 Give Campaign.”

He has been a charter member of Kiwanis, is a member of St. Ann Knight’s of Columbus, and has served on several homeowner association boards. He is married with three children and has lived in the Naples area since 1987.

Roger Lipitz joined the Avow Hospice, Inc. Board in July, 2011.

He is a former chairman of the board of the Baltimore Development Corporation and of the University of Maryland Medical System. He also chaired the board of Meridian Healthcare, the largest provider of long-term care services in Maryland. He is a past president of the American Health Care Association, the largest nursing home association in the U.S., and also served as president of the Maryland Nursing Home Association.

He is a trustee of the Johns Hopkins University and chair of the Health Advisory Board at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.

Jay Johnston has served as a member of the Board of Directors since July 2006. He is also active in fundraising with Midwest Palliative and Hospice CareCenter of Glenview, Ill. Johnston is chairman of QuesTek Innovations, LLC, a privately held company that designs and markets high tech materials.

From 1975-1999, he held numerous positions at Abbott Laboratories, most recently corporate vice president for Diagnostic Assays and Systems. He held numerous other positions with Abbott Laboratories, including president of Dainabot Co. Ltd. and vice president, Asia Pacific.

Mr. Johnston has experience in general management, product development, technology management, strategic marketing and business development. He holds an MBA in general management from the Amos Tuck School of Business Administration and a BA in public administration from Dartmouth College.

Kim M. Borselli was born in New Jersey and grew up working and managing funeral homes around the state. In 2001 he and his family moved to Broward county Florida where he managed cemeteries and funeral home in Broward and Dade Counties.

In 2014 he came to Naples, Florida as managing Partner for Fuller Funeral Homes.  His three children still reside in Palm Beach county attending college. Kim is a member of the Naples Networking group, the Naples Italian American Club Foundation, National Aging in Place Council (NAIPC), the Naples Interagency, Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce, Business Network International (BNI) the Naples North Rotary Club, the Collier 100 club. Kim also is an active member and Vice President of the Nightingales Nurses Tribute Society .

A fourth degree member of St. Agnes Knights of Columbus assembly 14202, Mr. Borselli is also a member of the Color Core and fourth degree council # 3084, screen and sound operator at Sunday 9am mass.

Jaysen Roa joined Avow as President & CEO in October, 2015.

Prior to joining Avow, Roa served as Executive Director at Good Shepherd Hospice, Inc. an affiliate of Chapters Health System, Inc. based in Lakeland, Florida, and was responsible for the daily operations of the hospice’s 550 patients, 300-plus staff and three free-standing inpatient facilities.

Roa’s extended hospice experience includes directing clinical, business development, fundraising and community relations operations and ensuring regulatory compliance. He developed and implemented a pediatric palliative care program and has engaged in local, state and national efforts to promote recommended hospice legislative actions.

Prior to working at Good Shepherd Hospice, Roa held leadership positions at Hernando Pasco Hospice (HPH), Inc. and worked at Hospice of Citrus County, Inc., both based in Florida.

Roa is a Certified Hospice Administrator who holds a Master’s in Business Administration and Master’s in Health Administration from Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from University of South Florida in Tampa.
