Avow Foundation, Inc. announces it has received a gift of $795,000 from the Nancy L. Weinig estate. The gift will be used to help seriously ill community residents who can benefit from hospice care. On March 26, 2016 hundreds joined Avow in Cambier Park to experience an exhibit of live butterflies and to honor loved ones. Visitors walked through a large tent filled with flowering plants and nearly 600 butterflies representing 8 species. Children and adults delighted in watching the colorful butterflies alight upon a finger or shoulder.
