Yoga for Self-Care

This is an online group for anyone those who have experienced a loss of any kind or stressors during COVID-19 such as job loss or loss of normalcy.  We encourage you to be a little selfish right now and indulge in some self-care in the form of yoga.  No yoga experience?  No problem! You don’t have to be a yogi, we will be doing all yoga poses in a chair and the last week will be a guided meditation.  We’re going to use yoga to strengthen our awareness of how our physical experience is connected to our emotional and mental experiences in our lives.

The group will be led by 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher Meryl Sykes, MSW and Avow Bereavement Counselor Breanna Caldwell, MSW.

When:  Thursdays in July

Time:  12:00 PM – 1:00 PM

Where: This is an online group done through Zoom video conferencing during the COVID-19 pandemic to accommodate quarantining.

You MUST RSVP to bereavement@avowcares.org  in order to join the group.  You will receive Zoom instructions once you have RSVP’d.
