The Widows & Widowers support group is open to anyone in the community who has experienced a recent loss. The group is led by a licensed bereavement expert and is most appropriate for those who have experienced a loss within the past year.
Some group participants choose simply to listen; others feel comfortable sharing thoughts and feelings. During the session, trained bereavement staff reassure participants about what are “normal” reactions to loss and guide those who need them to additional resources in the community.
