Avow Kids Camp Mending Heart Overnight (in person)
Avow Kids Camp Mending Heart – Teen Overnight Camp

Join us for our special two-night camp for children ages 12 – 17
who have experienced the death of a loved one.
This all-inclusive, no-cost camp will immerse children in a weekend of therapeutic
interventions, such as music and art therapy, to help them build new coping skills.
The children will work with our credentialed Avow Kids counselors who provide
support, while the children meet others their age who have experienced similar
losses. Safety guidelines will be in place as kids enjoy the peaceful and expansive
outdoor setting of Riverside Camp Retreat.
PRIMARY OBJECTIVES:
• To learn more about grief and coping with their loss
• To develop bonds with new friends who have experienced similar losses
• To practice wellness through mindfulness and play
• To learn the importance to grow through what they go through
• To learn all of the above coping mechanisms while HAVING FUN!
Drop off at 4:00 p.m. on August 15, Pick up at 12:00 p.m. on August 17.
