Avow Kids and The David Lawrence Centers Mindful Families at Avow’s Aunt Janet’s House
October 21, 2021 @ 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm
Parents and their teens (ages 13-17) will join in a special education group highlighting the importance of mental health care for everyone. Avow Kids and The David Lawrence Centers are partnering to bring this important information to you. This event will be held at Aunt Janet’s House on the Avow campus. Kids will work on an expressive art project with our art therapist while adults will learn how to identify signs and symptoms of common behavioral concerns in youth and how to implement positive mental health tips. Attendees must wear masks (available at Avow).
Adult attendees will learn:
• Common mental health concerns in youth
• Warning signs and symptoms
• How to handle a crisis and local resources
• Prevention and awareness tips
