Students who attend CCPS have a half day of school on August 25 and Avow Kids wants to have your child join us for an afternoon matinee and lunch!
We will gather in the Ispiri community center on the Avow Campus to watch the movie “The Greatest Showman”. This is an ideal movie to watch when embarking on something new, like a new school year. P.T. Barnum sets out to create the Greatest Show of all time. Despite his passion and excitement, he is faced with many challenges that he learns to overcome. By keeping his eyes focused and with determination, he achieves his goals and dreams.
This story can relate to our own personal struggles related to our losses. Despite the many challenges and obstacles that we may face throughout life, we are encouraged to stay focused, be our authentic self, and rise above the obstacles that may stand in our way.
On August 25, your student is invited to have lunch with us followed by a screening of this extraordinary movie of one man’s journey to fulfil his dreams.
After the movie, we will split the students into age appropriate groups to discuss how we can use these lessons learn through P.T. Barnum’s life in our own lives.
