Avow Butterfly Ball Raises $600,000 in Cash, Sponsorships and In-kind Donations
Proceeds to support Children’s Bereavement Camps, New Family Bereavement Center and Hospice Care
Nearly 400 guests gathered at Naples Grande Beach Resort on February 20 to dine, dance and raise funds for Avow at the 2016 Butterfly Ball. Over $600,000 in cash, sponsorships and in-kind donations was raised representing a 43% increase over 2015. Proceeds will support Avow’s hospice care and children’s bereavement programs.
“Thanks to the dedication of the Avow Women’s Board, countless volunteers and staff, this year’s Butterfly Ball broke records in attendance and funds raised,” said Avow President and CEO Jaysen Roa. “We are thankful for the incredible generosity of our guests who engaged in the silent and live auctions and raised their paddles to support our fund-a-need auction. This year’s fund-a-need contributions will be used to expand our children’s grief camps and create a dedicated family bereavement center in Avow’s new Lyon Care Center currently under construction.”
