Welcome to Avow

Avow is a Collier County, Florida-based nonprofit healthcare organization that provides hospice care, non-hospice palliative care, and grief and loss support. We serve people of all ages, from infants to the most senior of citizens.

Avow has deep roots in Collier County. In fact, we were established here in 1983 by volunteers and community members as the county’s first hospice. Since then, we have grown to become one of the largest hospices in the US. We also pioneered non-hospice palliative care in Collier County, offering services beginning in 2003.

Throughout our history and growth, we have kept our focus squarely on our nonprofit mission to serve.

Core Values

We are honest, hardworking, fiscally responsible professionals driven solely by the well-being of our patients, their loved ones and the communities we serve.

We believe it is important not only to serve the community but to educate its members about our services and the role we can play at the end of life.

We embrace change and are always looking at creative ways to solve problems and serve new populations.

We know that we cannot achieve everything we want without working hand-in-hand with each other, with our healthcare partners and with the community.

We believe in the importance of celebrating life and relationships.

Diversity and Inclusion Mission Statement

“Our mission is to foster a workplace that values and recognizes diversity, promotes equity, and ensures inclusion and belonging for all, empowering every individual to contribute their unique perspectives and talents in a welcoming and supportive environment.”

Diversity is the presence of difference that may include race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, ethnicity, nationality, socioeconomic status, language, (dis)ability, age, religious commitment or political perspective.

Equity is promoting justice, impartiality and fairness within the procedures, processes and distribution of resources.

Inclusion is an outcome to ensure all individuals feel welcomed and accepted.
